Happy Christmas

With Christmas fast approaching, writing blog posts is some way down my list of priorities but I have updated my Cheat Sheet. It was shamefully out of date and I felt that I had to make the effort to mark Zigic’s return and also to include Morrison and Moussi. The news that Morrison is to be given a contract when the January transfer window opens is very good news indeed.  There have been several changes since I last updated the list. Brek Shea has returned to Stoke and three players have gone out on loan: Denny Johnston, Amari’ Bell and Charlee Adams. Will Packwood also went out on loan to Colchester and played for 67 minutes before getting an injury and a red card; he is now back at Birmingham and on the injury list. Connal Trueman, a teenage goalkeeper is listed in the squad on the official site too and I think he’s returned from his youth loan at Leamington FC.  I’m not claiming my Cheat Sheet is completely accurate but it’s the best I can do at the moment.

I won’t be at Huddersfield tomorrow but will be listening to the game and hoping for a win. And once it’s over I’ll be thinking of other things beside football. I hope you will too. Football is a great game and I spend far too much time thinking about it but it’s not the most important thing in life. I hope you can spend time with your friends and/or family and enjoy the break from work if you have one. If you are one of the people who have to work over Christmas, thank you; I appreciate all those who do the work that has to be done and was reminded of them the other day, when I saw a neighbour wearily returning home after an 18 hour shift as an anaesthetist. Try to celebrate the holiday safely so you don’t make any more work for the medics or emergency services.

I probably won’t be writing anything next week so would like to wish you all a joyful and peaceful Christmas.
